Radial night with the mco and guests Experimenting with repertoire, venues and concert formats is fundamental to the self-identity of the MCO. In the Berlin-based creative space for the arts, Radialsystem V, the MCO has found a partner to share this passion: Radialsystem, a converted pumping station right on the banks of the River Spree, has established itself as an open platform for creative dialogue with a reach well beyond Berlin's borders. The inaugural Radial Night with the MCO and guests explored every aspect of the Mahler Chamber Orchestra – a highlight of the evening was the first-ever collaboration between MCO musicians and dancers from the company Sasha Waltz & Guests. Five hours of live music were followed by an after-party that lasted into the early hours, enjoyed by both performers and audience. We are all looking forward to the second Radial Night on 9 June 2012.
