ANDREI SIMION, CELLO As a student at the Orchesterzentrum|NRW, Andrei Simion took part in the MCO Academy NRW concerts in December 2010 and May 2011. Since 2010, the MCO-Stiftung (MCO Foundation) has awarded scholarships to selected students from the Orchesterzentrum|NRW as part of its mission to support young talent. With these scholarships, the Foundation makes it possible for students to participate in specific MCO concert tours and thereby gain essential professional orchestral experience, and also provides financial support for the students' studies. Each scholarship recipient is matched with a mentor from his section for the duration of the project to ensure that he is fully integrated into the orchestra both personally and musically.
