1. As soon as the orchestra has decided whom to invite for an audition you will be notified of the result of your application via Email. Please note, that - due to the structure of the MCO - this procedure might take quite a long time. Auditions may take place at various locations in Europe depending on where the orchestra performs.
2. The candidates are judged by the members of the orchestra present at the audition.
3. All auditionees will be informed about the result directly after the audition.
4. Please note, that the MCO does not provide trials comparable to the German "Probejahr" (one candidate for one free chair). Instead, we have a system similar to the English "trial" system, where we offer a "third round" (orchestra round) to more than one candidate. Each candidate on third round is offered project(s) to play with the MCO, followed by an additional vote of the orchestra to decide whether the candidate should be offered a trial. Trials are offered to only one candidate per chair at a time.
