Since its inception in 1997 the MCO has supported itself almost entirely without recourse to public funds, and, with its innovative organisational structure, is a pioneer in the European orchestra world. Our structure, however, poses many challenges. Support from sponsors and private donors is becoming ever more important. In setting a course for the future, we have developed a new donor structure that gives our supporters and partners the opportunity to make an individual and lasting contribution to the development of the orchestra, and, simultaneously, to gain personal insight into the life of the MCO.
