As you know, reliable transportation connections and quiet hotels play a large and important role for the MCO as a touring orchestra – and also for our loyal Friends accompanying us on our journey! Thus, during this year’s gathering, we considered the topic of mobility and during a one hour tour through the Swiss Museum of Transportation got an interesting look into the multi-faceted history of transportation.
As a little surprise Henja Semmler (violin), Daniel Blendulf (Cello), Tim Summers (Violin) and Jaan Bossier (clarinet) played solos for the four guided tour groups.
Due to the wonderful weather we were afterwards able to walk along the Vierwaldstätter See over to the close by Grand Hotel Europe, where we enjoyed coffee, dessert and some more chamber music.
Cindy Albracht (Violin), Henja Semmler (Violin), Alexandre Razera (Viola), Raphael Bell (Cello) and Jaan Bossier (clarinet) played the first movement of Johannes Brahms’ clarinet quintet.
To all Friends a big thank you for the great talks in such a nice atmosphere – we are already looking forward to next year´s get-together!
