Constantinos Carydis was born in Athens in 1974. After studying piano at the Athens Conservatory he continued and completed his studies in conductorship under Prof. Hermann Michael at the Munich University of Music and Performing Arts.

First engagements took him to the Theater am Gärtnerplatz in Munich and the Stuttgart State Opera. In addition he has made guest appearances at the Vienna State Opera, the Berlin State Opera, the Komische Oper Berlin, the Opera de Lyon, the Deutsche Oper am Rhein in Düsseldorf/Duisburg and the Athens State Opera.

He regularly performs also in the next years at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden London, the Munich State Opera, the Netherlands Opera Amsterdam an the Frankfurt Opera.

Constantinos Carydis has given concerts among others with the Munich Philharmonic, the DSO Berlin, the Konzerthausorchester Berlin, the RSO Vienna and RSO Stuttgart, the Museumsorchester Frankfurt, the Orchestra of the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, the Orchestra of the Stuttgart State Opera, the Orchestra of the Komische Oper Berlin, the Munich Chamber Orchestra and the Kammerakademie Potsdam.

In the near future he will be making his debut in concerts with the Israel Philharmonic, the Mahler Chamber Orchestra, the Tonhalle-Orchester Zurich, the WDR Sinfonieorchester Cologne, the Symponieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks Munich, the NDR Sinfonieorchester Hamburg and the Filarmonica della Scala di Milano.
