When the MCO remains in the same city for a few days during its rehearsal period, the orchestra likes to take advantage of the opportunity to organise education projects in social or pedagogical areas, in order to establish contact with people outside of the concert hall.
Three MCO musicians, travelling to Ferrara a few days earlier than the rest of the orchestra, will lead chamber music workshops there from the 20th to the 22nd of October. These workshops, involving 12 students, feature works by Elgar and Grieg (strings), Rossini and Hindemith (winds), and Brahms (winds/strings); the coaches will be performing with the students as well. Excerpts from the programme will be presented publicly on Saturday evening:
