Daniela Pasdzierny first got to know the MCO in autumn 2007 during an internship, which was quickly followed by freelance work for the orchestra. Since January 2009, she has been working as a Project Manager, and is also responsible for organizing the auditions and the music library.
After finishing secondary school in Hildesheim (Lower Saxony), Ms. Pasdzierny moved to Berlin to study musicology, Italian and economics, and to enjoy the cultural life of the capital city. She spent a 2004/05 in Bologna as an Erasmus student, where she learned to love the Italian way of life, as well as greatly improving her Italian. While a student, she completed internships at the Arbeitskreis Musik in der Jugend and at festivals such as the Beethovenfest Bonn and the Hamburg Ostertöne. She also found time for her own music: a dedicated cellist, Ms. Pasdzierny played in orchestras such as the Junge Sinfonie Berlin, helping with the ensemble’s organisation as well. She completed her Magister in November 2008.
Ms. Pasdzierny is very excited to take the first steps of her professional life with the MCO. She appreciates the fascinating and challenging experiences to be gained by working with this unique orchestra, with musicians from diverse countries and world-renowned conductors and soloists. Many of her private interests also find fulfilment at the MCO: travelling, discovering new places and rediscovering familiar ones, communicating in many different languages and, last but not least, a love for music.
