Hélène Delanglez // Finance and Administration / Projects
Hélène Delanglez began working for the MCO as an intern in October 2005, and came to her current position as Administration and Finance Assistant in March 2006. Aside from taking care of the orchestra’s general organisational needs, she is responsible for project administration: everything from contracts to payments. She often travels with the orchestra as support staff, where she can put her love of music, communication, and discovery to practice.
Hélène grew up in the Champagne region of France and studied law in Grenoble, European affairs in Ireland, and culture management and art history in Paris. During that time she held internships in a museum, at a fairy-tale festival and at a centre for political studies. She found her way to the culture industry through literature — she spent many years working in a bookstore, and her first job was at a national literature event sponsored by the French culture ministry. Her love for music, however, proved too strong to withstand and she was drawn to Berlin and to the MCO. The orchestra unites Hélène’s dearest interests: people from very different spheres, music, languages, new places and experiments.
While not in the office Hélène enjoys travelling, sports, and arts and crafts, and truly follows a higher calling — she is a passionate mountain climber.
