Michael Adick has been Director of Finance and Administration of the Mahler Chamber Orchestra e.V. since 2007. Together with the General Manager and the Board, he plays an important role steering the association. Mr. Adick began his work for the MCO in 1999, and is through his long involvement with the orchestra very well acquainted with all areas of management.

Mr. Adick studied jurisprudence and art history in Tübingen and Munich. He completed his traineeship in Bavaria. Even during his studies, the native Westfalian was at work advising musician.

A pianist, Mr. Adick would rather leave music-making to the professionals, whom he supports in all non-artistic areas of their activities. The MCO’s internationality and its project-based structure always provide him with new challenges.

His private interests are as varied as his professional responsibilities. Art plays a large part in his life; he also enjoys cooking, travelling in nature, and bicycle trips. There’s a lot to discover!
